fall 2026 Cohort now enrolling

A collective at the convergence of creativity, community, science, technology, and philosophy. Bass music production is our medium, a full-spectrum craft for building universes, developing a creative outlet, and translating our worldview into sound. We don't just teach music production, we cultivate a way of seeing. Of holding the creative path with the gravity of what it is.

Gatherings in the Louisiana swamp, live online bass music production cohorts led by Savej & friends, curated spaces at festivals like Envision in Costa Rica; yet the seed of the AFC is still only just germinating.

See the full thesis below.

There's a reason we built AFC around five pillars and not one, and it's not branding. Each one of these forces, left to itself, will eventually eat you alive.

At the seam

The convergence needs (human) creators.

The deepest wisdom traditions and the most advanced tools we've ever built are pointing at the same thing. What we make from that meeting depends on how we hold it. Ancient Future Collective is a gathering of creators working with a five-fold compass: creativity as the engine, held inside an interconnected system of checks & balances: community, science, technology, and philosophy. Each of these forces keeps the others true. The old stories told us what happens when one runs alone.

Present times are calling for a collective overhaul of the way we view and approach creativity.

Five pillars, one path

The disciplines we work in.

Creativity is the engine. Community, science, technology, and philosophy are the containers that give it substance.

What alumni have said.

"This cohort changed my life and will forever remain a milestone in my journey. It became the answer to ALL my prayers and so much more. Having this incredible community to share the process with, to be real about emotions, to celebrate wins together, is something I will forever hold close to my heart."

Mollie WallickSaige Spirit · Cohort 1

"This has been a cataclysmic experience for me. I started with no knowledge of any DAW and no experience composing music. SO rich with foundational concepts and literal gems. I have the confidence now that I can channel my own creative voice and create music. Life changing for me."

Dr. Maya ShetreatCohort 1 Alumni

"Feel like I've had 10 years of growth in these 12 weeks. Absolutely mindblown by my transformation in this space. I feel unrecognisable as a producer. My wife described this 3 month portal for me as a quantum leap, this resonated big time. Thanks for giving me the best possible launchpad into my life of music."

Patty McDonaldChakaruna · Cohort 1

"After the sound design and arrangement lessons, I found myself lost in the flow state for HOURS. I could not stop. It was incredible. These concepts allowed me to tap into my engineer brain while unleashing my creative side. It has truly changed my life. It has given me MUCH more than I imagined!"

Ricky VelasquezRickichet · Cohort 1

"The cohort honestly felt like the key to a different universe and blew my expectations. The cohort was DENSE with keys, sauces, and codes. Love how the wisdom Donnie shares echoes beyond the music. I hear music differently now, and it's beautiful."

Andy KovalskyWild Raw & Free · Cohort 1

"If you were only asking for the main takeaway, it would be the community. The vibe is like no other I've connected with. Transparency, openness, honesty, grounded, helpful, encouraging. Being able to look over the shoulders of producers I listen to was unexpected and eye-opening. True vibes."
